Selected Legal, Criminological and Victimological Aspects of Extremism

The issue of crimes related to extremism is one of the most topical issues of our time, not only in the Czech Republic, but throughout Europe. It focuses on the fact that there is no universal definition of extremism. Each of the law enforcement authorities works with its own definition, which are basically identical and overlapping in their content , or they do not define extremism at all. The main part of the article then discusses selected aspects of this phenomenon, which is associated with hate crimes in the Czech environment, taking into account related case law and statistical data. In this context, it also gives attention to the perpetrators, their victims and, of course, the issue of prevention.

This paper examines the phenomenon of supply-driven inflation within military expenditures across various global regions from 2019 to 2023. As nations face escalating geopolitical tensions and security challenges, understanding the inflationary pressures on defence budgets becomes increasingly vital. This study identifies key factors contributing to inflation in military spending, including increased costs of raw materials and technological advancements in defence systems. Utilizing comprehensive data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the research employs a statistical method and time series analysis to assess variations in military expenditure inflation rates across world regions such as the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania, and the Middle East, and to predict future trends in military expenditures. Through this analysis, regional disparities will be uncovered in inflationary trends while the impact of currency fluctuations and policy decisions on defence budgets will be highlighted.

This article examines the complex dynamics of sugar dating through the theoretical lenses of Darwin's survival of the fittest, Foucault's power dynamics and technologies of heterosexual coercion. Exploring the intersection of these frameworks reveals how sugar dating both reflects and challenges societal norms related to intimacy, economics and gender. Our analysis highlights how advantageous traits in securing sugar relationships may reinforce existing social hierarchies, while power dynamics within these arrangements mirror broader societal power structures. We also consider how traditional gender norms are simultaneously reinforced and subverted. This interdisciplinary approach raises questions about the evolving nature of intimate relationships in the context of economic exchange and digital facilitation, urging further research into the societal pressures, economic conditions and technological advancements that shape modern forms of partnership.

How to Engage Civil Society? Possibilities of the Marketing Concept “Value Co-Creation” Application

This article explores the application of the marketing concept of "value co-creation" to improve the performance of municipalities. It examines the potential benefits and challenges of involving citizens in the creation of public value, drawing on both theoretical frameworks and empirical findings. The research, conducted through qualitative interviews and expert group discussions with representatives from mid-sized towns, identifies key factors influencing the successful implementation of value co-creation in the public sector. The findings suggest that a shift towards a more collaborative approach can enhance citizen trust, improve project quality and foster a more participatory relationship between municipalities and their communities. The paper also discusses the importance of addressing barriers such as resource constraints, skills gaps and concerns about implementing the concept.
