Analysis of the Relationship between Risk of Poverty, Economic Activity and Selected Socio-Economic Indicators in the Czech Republic in the Period 2005–2016

The “at-risk-of-poverty rate” indicator is the share of people with an equivalised disposable income below the at-risk-of-poverty threshold, which is set at 60 % of the national median equivalised disposable income after social transfers. The aim of the paper is to analyse the development of the at-risk-of-poverty rate indicator in the Czech Republic in the period 2005–2016, in particular, to find regression relations between the time series of the at-risk-poverty rate indicator and selected macroeconomic indicators such as GDP growth, employment growth, unemployment rate, inflation rate, social benefits, share of early leavers from education, etc. The analysis was carried out for groups of people based on their economic activity (employed, unemployed, retired) and gender. The theory of multidimensional analysis of non-stationary time series was used as the main tool of analysis.
