This study focuses on a proposed methodology of development of managers working in digitalized industry. It draws on the assumption that digitalization of organizations will also result in a transformation of demands placed on the performance and behaviour of their management. The study is divided into the three main parts. The first part of the text offers an overview of the sociological knowledge concerning the influence of digitalization on society and its organizations. It also discusses the basic paradigms of an approach to a relationship between people/organizations and technologies and presents an overview of the results of latest studies and empirical research focused on the identification of the characteristics of managers who have been successfully coping with digitalization. The second part describes verified principles and approaches to the development of managers according to the experience of experts from “The Center for Creative Leadership”. The final part of the study provides a proposal of a new methodology of the development of managers working in digitalized industry and specifies the steps that will have to be taken in the future.
